Your comparisons are a wonderful companion piece to my next viewings.<br /><br />The switch to a gal for "His Girl Friday" is brilliant. When I watch "The Front Page" I cut O'Brien plenty of slack as he was new to pictures. Also, sometimes I wonder how Walter Burns would have fared had the originally cast Louis Wolheim not passed so suddenly.
